Why don't you include the Balkans (Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, etc.)?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Balkans are classified as Southeast Europe, not Eastern Europe β€” and they tell a fundamentally different genetic story. The primary route for Neolithic farmers into Europe came through the Balkans from Anatolia (modern-day Turkey), which creates a very different genetic signature.

If we added Balkan ancient DNA to this report, it would dilute the coherent Eastern European and Baltic story we're telling. If you have significant Balkan ancestry, a dedicated Balkan-focused report would give you much better insights.
