Why does each chromosome have a different proportion of ethnicities?

Updated over a week ago

Each of your chromosomes has its own history. When your ancestors passed their DNA to the next generation, each chromosome got reshuffled independently. Over many generations, that random reshuffling means every chromosome ends up with a slightly different mix of ancestral origins. It's a reminder of just how many different people and places contributed to making you.
