My Deep Ancestry results look very different from 23andMe or AncestryDNA. Is something wrong?

Updated over a week ago

Not necessarily. Every DNA company uses different reference panels, algorithms, and population labels β€” so some variation is normal. Our Deep Ancestry report also traces your ancestry back a bit further than most other services, which can shift how percentages are distributed across regions.

That said, we know certain regions still need better coverage in our reference data β€” especially Central Asia, South Asia, parts of Africa, and some European sub-regions like France. We're actively working on a major update that adds more diverse samples to improve accuracy in these areas. Your results will automatically update when it ships.
