My Global Ancestry and Deep Ancestry reports show different results. Why don't they match?

Updated over a week ago

These two reports use different methods. Global Ancestry uses imputation to expand your data to about 1.3 million genetic markers, which can reveal additional ancestry findings β€” but it can also introduce some noise (small percentages that aren't real ancestry).

Deep Ancestry minimizes imputation and tends to be more precise. If you see a small percentage in Global Ancestry that doesn't appear in Deep Ancestry, it's likely noise. For larger discrepancies, the reports are simply tracing different generations of your ancestry.
