Why Do My Results Seem Inaccurate?

Do you feel as though your results don’t accurately describe you? There is a lot that goes into making up who we are and how we see ourselves, and genetics is only a portion of that. What factors contribute to your results and their accuracy on Genomelink?

  1. Genetic component: Of course our genes contribute to who we are! But, how our genes are expressed, aside from what they say, influences how the trait appears as a characteristic.  
  2. Environmental component: Genetics is only a portion of who we are.  Equally important and influential is our environment. Things like nutrition, fitness, education, lifestyle choices, and much more effect who we become.  
  3. Overall Study Reliability: Every study has a different reliability level.  We pride ourselves, at Genomelink, in sharing that information with you.  Although the field of genetics is growing at an exponential pace, there is still a lot to learn, and not all studies are equally well established and dependable.

How do I upload my raw DNA data from 23andMe, MyHeritage, and/or Ancestry onto Genomelink?

1. Follow the relevant link instructions on how to first download your raw DNA data from your original site of sequencing:

2. After you have downloaded your raw DNA data, you are ready to upload to Genomelink to receive your trait reports! For more detailed instructions on how to do so, please visit here:

I didn’t receive a confirmation email to activate my Genomelink account… What should I do?

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.  Please email us at if you are experiencing this issue. We need to manually verify your account for you, but will have you able to login into your account as quickly as possible. 

How can I delete my DNA data that I uploaded to Genomelink? 

At Genomelink, we believe you have complete control and ownership over your DNA data; after all, it is yours! You can delete your raw DNA data at any time off of our site if you feel the need to do so. 

  1. Sign into your Genomelink account
  2. Click on your profile information in the top right corner of your Dashboard 
  3. Click “Data Deletion”
  4. Confirm “Yes” or “No” to delete your data. 

*Note: Deleting your data from Genomelink does not mean you are cancelling your Unlimited subscription plan or deactivating your Genomelink account.
